Job Description

At Rockfon, part of ROCKWOOL Group, we are seeking a District Sales Manager - Specialty to increase the sales of Rockfon Specialty Sales (Metal Ceilings) in a competitive arena through relationship driven activities with contractors, distributors, owners, facilities personnel, architects and design teams.

This nationwide territory includes major metropolitan markets with a preference for candidates based in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Franciso, San Diego, Dallas, Austin, Houston, or New York with access to a major airport. This position has no direct reports and reports to the Specialty Sales Manager. www.rockfon.com.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Identify and review sales channels and project opportunities
  • Participate in the increase of Project-to-Quote Sales Winning percentage
  • Work closely with Architectural Sales Teams to close projects specifying Rockfon Specialty (metal ceilings)
  • Provide technical contractor / distributor market trainings
  • Present sales content to building / facility owners, such as airports, hospitals and universities
  • Identify segment specific trade shows for participation
  • Assist in project tracking and provide proper follow up and/or support to Sales Teams
  • Provide market intelligence to all Rockfon departments, i.e. pricing, products, service levels, etc.
  • Travel 50 - 75% of the time

What You Bring

  • Post secondary education in Business or related field, preferred
  • 4+ years of experience selling technical construction products
  • Experience w/ architecture/design community and specialty contractors
  • Experience with metals and/or acoustics preferred
  • Construction and manufacturing knowledge
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of a CRM and MS Office Suite proficiency

The base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $125,000.00. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions. This position is bonus eligible.
