Primary Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Weekend Needs: As Scheduled

Salary Range: Min $42.34 Mid $43.61 Max $44.88

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Completes medically prescribed Physical Therapy assessment, plans and implements treatment program, and reassesses patient status as indicated to restore function and/ or maximize ability following disease or disability. AHA-BLS certification is required however, certification is a not qualifying factor to obtain the position.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Skills Required:
1.    B.S. in Physical Therapy and licensure or licensure eligibility in New York State
2.    AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or a current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to the date of renewal.
3.    Ability to physically treat inpatients or outpatients and complete accurate and legible documentation as per established guidelines.  
4.    Ability to qualitatively evaluate and treat all age groups and diagnostic categories in an inpatient, outpatient, Skilled Nursing Facility, and Sub-Acute Rehab settings.  
5.    Ability to communicate effectively with patients and caretakers regarding anticipated P.T. treatment plan, level of expected patient participation, and expected outcome  
6.    Ability to communicate effectively with the public and the medical/ CVPH staff as a member of the Rehabilitation team

As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
