The Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks a Technology Innovation & Data Specialist to join our talented team!

PURPOSE: The Technology Innovation & Data Specialist will support the Technology Innovation & Data Director and Department on all projects and needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain and support user/group accounts, configurations, access permissions, on-site documentation for all IT systems and systems administration

  • Troubleshoot device implementation, resolve system access issues, and provide deskside support services

  • Actively participate in property-level and corporate-initiated technology implementations and Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure optimal network functionality

  • Monitor server performance, apply operating system upgrades and patches, and restore services as needed

  • Perform regular backup procedures, ensure data integrity, and manage system recovery processes

  • Diagnose service outages and provide desktop restoration or repair services and coordinate hardware repair through third-party vendors when necessary

  • Provide troubleshooting and restoration services for end-user systems, ensuring virus protection is in place while also performing regular backup procedures, ensure data integrity, and manage system recovery processes

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Promote and maintain Four Seasons core technology standards and best practices

  • Maintenance and Proactive Processes

  • Maintain a high level of operational readiness and system availability.

  • Communication and Administration

  • Act as a communication point for technology-related issues within the property.

  • Assist with the co-ordination of third-party vendor management.

  • Document and promote best practices for property-level IT systems.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Education: College education or equivalent experience required.

  • Experience: Previous IT experience, preferably in the hotel, leisure, and/or service sector, experience of all Microsoft systems, experience of hotel applications, such as Fidelio and Micros, etc.excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, current technical skills and knowledge of technology, excellent command in English, and strong attention to details

  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, speak, and write English, ability to operate computer equipment and Microsoft Office Suite software, excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports
