Narrative:

Empire Home Infusion Service has an opportunity for an efficient, bright, organized individual to join our team and handle incoming referrals and insurance verifications and authorizations as well as a variety of other tasks:

  • Coordination with referral sources and billing service to ensure accurate data and timely care can be provided.
  • Perform Health Insurance benefit verification and service authorizations;
  • Maintain electronic medical record data
  • Perform payer audits and prepare appeals
  • Handle customer service calls with patients and referral sources to explain benefits and co-insurance responsibility;
  • Assist with office related operations including answering incoming calls, greeting guests, sorting mail, handling faxes.

Ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, experience with Microsoft Office applications, and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Eligibility requirements for this position include: High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred but not required, and a minimum of 3 years in a healthcare office setting. Strong customer service, computer skills, flexible and adaptable to change.

Pay Range: $19.20 - $25.58

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
