This full-time (40 hours/week) Monday to Friday role will typically work 8:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m. with occasional evenings and weekends. CKF staff will enjoy the autonomy of having a stable, but flexible schedule based on caseload. CKF Specialists earn $22/hour.
What you will do:
Make an impact and watch children meet their developmental milestones
- Schedule and conduct home visits with families to identify and address any support needs, concerns, and questions
- Perform intakes with new families as needed
- Maintain an on-going awareness of available St. Louis Arc and Region services/supports to connect with families
- Discuss additional therapy and developmental equipment needs with team and order as appropriate; Deliver/pick up equipment monthly
- Support the upkeep of the equipment catalog and inventory system
- Maintain family data and program inventory
- Maintain accurate, timely records of all services and materials delivered to families; Complete all other required documentation in a timely manner
- Assist in planning and implementing group activities (e.g. playgroups and other family events), as well as supporting the wider efforts of the Agency by assisting with support and networking groups and / or serving on an Agency level committee.
- Field phone calls from the public and connect them to appropriate services and supports

- Bachelor's degree in social work, early childhood, special education, child development or related field (preferred) (or Associate's Degree/ Two years of College + Two (2) years of related work experience). Completion of Child Care Aware certification program a plus.
- Two or more years of professional experience working directly with children (specifically birth to 10 years old) with developmental delays
- Knowledge of community resources
- Knowledge and understanding of family dynamics
- Ability to drive and reliable transportation
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
- Ability to multitask and make decisions independently (e.g., emergency calls).
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and excellent listening skills with families
- Ability to complete CPR/FA -provided by St. Louis Arc at no cost.
