Job Description

LV Petroleum is seeking a results-driven Category Manager to oversee a specific portfolio of products and drive category performance through data-informed strategy, market insight, and vendor collaboration. This is a full-time, onsite role, ideal for a highly analytical and commercially minded professional who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize category performance. Establish clear objectives, set pricing strategies, and design promotional campaigns to increase sales and profitability.
  • Market Intelligence & Sales Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research on trends, consumer preferences, and competitor performance. Analyze sales metrics and performance data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee pricing, promotions, assortment planning, and inventory optimization to ensure category competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Cultivate strong partnerships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms to enhance product offerings, availability, and margin performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to ensure alignment on category goals and execution strategies.

Requirements

Proven experience in category management, merchandising, or retail product management.

Strong analytical skills and business acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.

Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
