Catering Event ChefPRIMARY FUNCTIONSLoading and unloading of catering equipment from trucks and vans.Directs on site team in the Efficient production of menu items for events based on direction from a BEO (Banquet Event Order) or specific direction from kitchen leadershipsManage multiple production tasks from a prep sheetFollow all cleaning and sanitization procedures and schedulesAdapt to an everchanging environment based on event volume and needsParticipate in good decision-making and problem solving when needed.Work closely with a team of chefs, service staff and kitchen leadership.QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Restaurant or Banquet cooking experience preferred
- Previous Culinary Training Required
- Ability to function and act independently
- Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within
- established deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Understand various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to follow directions, adapt quickly and make changes when needed.
- Knowledge of fine dining, wine, and bartending a plus
- Access to reliable transportation
