Cath Lab Technologist- Full-Time
Position Highlights:
Nebraska Medicine is now accepting applications for a talented individual to join us as a Cath Lab Technologist- Radiologic Technologist. We are seeking experienced technologists to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for Invasive Cardiology and providing exceptional customer service to our patients. The position is located at our main campus in Omaha, NE.
Nebraska Medicine's Invasive Cardiology department provides Cath Lab Technologists with the chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment and software while delivering care to diverse patients from around the world. As a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Cath Lab, you will have the opportunity to apply your radiology skills in a specialized setting. Working in our fast-paced and energetic environment will allow you to expand your skills as a Radiologic Technologist and gain valuable experience in caring for thousands of patients annually. Cath Lab Technologist Description:
Utilize departmental resources (e.g., personnel, supplies, and capital equipment) to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac Cath lab at the lowest possible risk and cost to the patient. Assure that provided services meet cultural and age related needs of the patient population served.
Required Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited school of allied health/cardiovascular technology required.
Knowledge of proper body mechanics required.
Demonstrate effective communication skills required.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility required.
Current Nebraska State Medical Radiographer license required.
Radiologic Technologist (RT) registration and ARRT licensure or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 6 months of hire or transfer date required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical experience in interventional radiology, internship completion in radiology, or cardiac Cath lab experience preferred.
Experience as scrub assistant and operator of imaging equipment in Cath/EP lab preferred.
Experience in patient monitoring and procedure documentation in Cath/EP lab or experience with working in a high volume angiography department preferred.
Radiology internship with interventional radiology lab or cardiac Cath lab preferred.
Certification by the ARRT in cardiovascular interventional technology preferred.
