Description
Title: Evening Administrator and Student Activities Coordinator
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators Unit. The budgeted salary is currently pending classification. Salary range likely to be in the low 50s.
Responsibilities: The Evening Administrator and Student Activities Coordinator is the primary on-site point of contact at the College after normal business hours. This highly visible position provides support to students, employees and visitors after normal business hours, and works to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. In addition, the position is responsible for planning, promoting and executing student activities that promote engagement and enrichment and appeal to a wide array of students. The position assists with student advising on academic, personal, and institutional matters. The schedule is Monday- Thursday 11:00 a.m.- 9:30 p.m. with occasional Fridays and weekends for student activities. Responsibilities include transporting students in a College-owned vehicle and attending off-campus events and trips.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a driving record that meets the College's eligibility requirements for coverage under its vehicle insurance policy
- Effective communication, both oral and in written
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Prior work in higher education, especially in student life, advising, or student services
- Experience in conflict resolution and/or customer service
- Experience working in event planning
