Job Description

Position Details

The Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time positions to teach an undergraduate business law and social responsibility course.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Teach one or two course sections per semester in person on campus in Tampa.

2. Create syllabus for students each semester to include learning objectives consistent with the University and College of Business mission statement (course objectives and sample syllabi provided).

3. Provide meeting time for students outside of class time as needed.

4. Administer and grade examinations and assignments.

5.  Manage course materials and grading using a learning management system, including training prior to first semester of teaching.          

6. Assess and report student progress related to learning goals of The Sykes College of Business.

The successful candidate will have:

1.  A JD degree.

2.  At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of law is required.

3.  Teaching experience preferred.

Applications for part-time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available.  Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis which may include fall, spring and summer.
