Job Description
Secure Mobility Engineering Technical Lead
The Opportunity:
In today's ever-evolving threat landscape, securing access to critical government and defense systems, especially for mobile and distributed users, is paramount. The proliferation of cloud-native technologies and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions presents both immense opportunities and complex security challenges.
As a Technical Lead for Secure Mobility Engineering, you will be at the cutting edge of this challenge, driving the transformation of classified and unclassified access capabilities across our client's mission-critical workloads. You will be responsible for architecting and leading the development of robust, mission-critical secure mobility and Cloud Native Access Point (CNAP) solutions, directly impacting the ability of our defense and intelligence clients to operate effectively and securely from anywhere. This isn't just about implementing technology-it's about defining the future of secure, zero-trust access in a remote and cloud-first world, ensuring operational readiness and continuous compliance in high-stakes environments. You'll translate strategic vision into tangible, secure capabilities that safeguard national security.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
7+ years of experience leading secure-network or cloud-native engineering teams and delivering complex, highly available, and secure systems
5+ years of experience conceiving, designing, and delivering mobility, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), or Zero-Trust initiatives for DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) environments
Experience with message-queueing technologies and leveraging distributed messaging systems for robust, asynchronous communication in secure architectures
Experience with External Key Management (EKM) and Hardware Security Modules (HSM) technologies
Experience in the design and leadership of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tasks
Knowledge of Kubernetes and container-security, such as admission control, network policy enforcement, service mesh architectures, and container image hardening
Knowledge of secure networking protocols, such as IPsec VPNs, BGP EVPN, or dual-stack IPv4 and 6 implementations, and designing scalable, fault-tolerant VPN gateways for high-assurance environments
Knowledge of access control, including Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), CAC and PIV authentication, and FIDO2 for strong identity management within complex enterprises
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with the delivery and integration of Cloud Native Access Point (CNAP) or Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) components, including Virtual Internet Access Point (vIAP), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and CSSP log integration
Experience guiding complex technical solutions through the DoD Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, including navigating reciprocity agreements
Experience establishing automated compliance
Knowledge of secure cloud access
Knowledge of immutable infrastructure principles and practices and how they apply to enhancing security and simplifying operations for cloud-native deployments
Ability to integrate security controls and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring adherence to standards, such as STIGs, DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC SRG), and CSfC Capability Packages
Possession of excellent communication, presentation, and vendor-management skills, including effectively briefing senior stakeholders and program offices
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred; Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field a plus
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
