Job Description

Intercontinental Engineering – Manufacturing Corporation is a heavy machinery manufacturer looking for an Engineering Administrative Assistant interested in working with large weldments and machined parts (40,000 lbs. +).  Intercon fabricates, machines, paints, and assembles products for the commercial marine, defense, and mining industries.

Requirements

Attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills are critical to success as this position will frequently interact with various departments within the organization to complete tasks.  Persons in this role must be able to work efficiently with little supervision and be consistent in performance.

You will

·         Be responsible for assisting Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control with a variety of day-to-day tasks

·         Assist with management and completion of document control processes

·         Perform various process and documentation audits

·         Gather completed documentation from manufacturing for record retention

·         Assist with compiling data packages for customer review

·         Assist with data entry into project routings

·         Generate and publish various reports and metrics

·         Be required to manage multiple assignments and responsibilities concurrently

·         Assist with the management of engineering and process changes

·         Photograph shop activity to supplement work instructions and company advertising

 

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or higher education

·         Experience with data entry and analysis

·         Proven ability to multi-task and coordinate various projects

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications

·         Experience with drafting software preferred

·         Ability to read and understand technical drawings preferred

·         Photography skills preferred

·         $20 - $25/hr.; compensation may vary based on skills and experience

·         Limited overtime availability

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and spend extended periods of time typing on computer keyboards or other office equipment.
  • Must be able to read small print and be able to use a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • PPE is required at all times in the plant and yard.
