Special Needs Nanny for 4YO – Part-Time

Part-Time Nanny – $17.50–$18.00/HR (Depending on Experience)
Location: 85204 – Mesa, AZ

We are looking for a patient, proactive, and nurturing nanny to support a loving Mesa family with care for their 4-year-old child. The child has global developmental delays and requires an attentive, experienced caregiver who can help maintain safety, structure, and joy in their daily routine.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have special needs and be prepared to assist with mobility (child is non-walking but able to crawl), communication (uses signs and a communication device), and germ prevention practices due to being illness-prone. The family prefers a caregiver who is calm, dependable, and mindful of safety, as the child is still putting objects in their mouth and is not yet potty trained.

Schedule:
Tuesday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (flexibility may be needed based on sibling’s soccer tournament schedule)
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $17.50–$18.00/hr, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive care and support for a 4-year-old child with developmental delays

• Implement routines and engage the child in age-appropriate, purposeful play

• Maintain a clean, safe, and calm environment

• Follow safety guidelines related to the child’s medical and developmental needs

• Communicate clearly with the family and staffing supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

• At least 1 year of paid childcare experience (experience with special needs children preferred)

• Reliable transportation to/from the family’s home

• Ability to pass a background check (provided and required)

• Three childcare references (ready upon request)

• Up-to-date MMR, COVID, and Tdap vaccinations
