Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a well-respected community hospital in beautiful Hood River, Oregon. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about patient care and comfortable working in a collaborative clinical setting. First-time travelers are welcome!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
  • Assess, plan, and administer respiratory therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders.
  • Operate ventilators, perform intubations/extubations, and manage oxygen delivery systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC or similar charting systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies including Code Blue situations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (hospital setting preferred).
  • Prior community hospital experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with neonates and pediatric patients is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC charting system is a bonus.

Certifications & Licensure (Required):

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Oregon State License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
