Genesee Lake School and Prader-Willi Homes, MyPath Companies, are seeking a dedicated Seasonal Landscape Assistant to join our team and help maintain our grounds during the spring and summer months.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Seasonal Landscape Assistant, who will be responsible for lawn care, landscaping, and general upkeep of the grounds at Genesee Lake School and Prader-Willi Homes. This position is perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the aesthetic and functional upkeep of our beautiful facilities. You will play a key role in maintaining the grounds, caring for landscape equipment, and assisting with other maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Grounds Maintenance:

  • Perform lawn care duties such as grass cutting, mulching, edging, and weed trimming.
  • Use equipment such as backpack blowers, power mowers, and hedge trimmers to maintain clean and well-kept grounds.
  • Treat lawns with liquid or granular chemicals as needed for weed control.
  • Assist with tree trimming, planting, and leaf collection.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Care for and maintain landscape tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
  • Conduct minor repairs and troubleshooting for landscape machinery and equipment.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the Facilities Manager to address any grounds maintenance issues.
  • Contribute to team discussions and collaborate with staff members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

General Upkeep:

  • Assist with special maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Help maintain safety and cleanliness in all work areas.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and external vendors, ensuring a professional and supportive environment.

Schedule:

  • Primarily day shift with flexibility to meet location needs.
  • Full-time Seasonal Position through November 15, 2025.
  • Must be able to respond to emergency situations promptly.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of experience in grounds or facility maintenance preferred.

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 80 lbs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid WI Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and walking in an outdoor setting.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Fast-paced and changing work environment.
  • Exposure to chemicals, dust, and power-driven equipment.
  • Physical work including bending, lifting, and walking.

Additional Information

Hours & Pay Information:

  • The position is full 40 hours per week, May to November 15th
  • The pay is $17.00-$17.50/hour, based on level of experience
  • Tentative start date would be early May
