Job Description
The Cell Technician is based at our facility in Ottawa, KS. We're looking for a team-oriented individual who enjoys the challenge of problem solving. This person is responsible for hot stamp changes, color changes, basic maintenance and trouble shooting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform various functions required to support auto cell production including:
label changes
hot stamp film changes
basic maintenance and trouble shooting
Perform various functions required to support production including:
Assist with color changes
Assist with material changes, including unloading of railcars
Clean metal separators and magnets and remove any contaminated material to the designated area.
Stage supplies and prepare work area for upcoming orders
Complete Level III QA audits and monitor part quality
Accurately complete and/or check First Article Inspections
Understand the production schedule and accurately complete any required documentation
Report and safety concerns or equipment problems to the Shift Supervisor
Growth Opportunities:
- Perform hot stamp set-up and changeovers
- Perform auto cell restarts
- Perform machine restarts
- Perform color changes
- Lean basic injection molding fundamentals to troubleshoot molding problems
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an injection molding environment
- Forklift certification
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands
- Good written and verbal communication skills
