This recruitment is for one (1), regular, full-time position located in Salem, OR (4190 Aumsville Hwy SE) and is represented by Oregon Public Safety Association. This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants and may be used to fill future vacancies.

Position Schedule: Standard business hours 8:00am - 4:30pm (dependent on lunch time taken). This position is in an in-person position and is not eligible for offsite or hybrid work arrangements.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for managing financial transactions-including fee collection, credit card processing, and deposit documentation-as well as handling non-routine mail and supply ordering. It involves reviewing and processing licensure and certification applications, performing criminal history checks via LEDS, entering data and deficiencies into databases, and issuing final credentials. The role requires strong customer service skills to respond to constituent inquiries, apply regulatory guidelines (OAR and ORS), communicate effectively in-person and in writing, and serve as the program's point of contact. Additional duties include preparing fingerprint cards, updating websites, distributing communications through GovDelivery, managing records in compliance with retention schedules, and supporting public records requests, administrative terminations, and team operations by generating reports and assisting unit members.

The Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) oversees the development of professional standards and the delivery of quality training for law enforcement officers, corrections officers, parole and probation officers, firefighters, telecommunicators, and emergency medical dispatchers. Minimum Qualifications:
Two (2) years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.
OR
An associate degree in any field.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
