Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) to support our Diabetes in Pregnancy Program. They will work alongside a team of highly trained and experienced MFM physicians.Duties:
- Provide comprehensive diabetes education to the patient and family during pregnancy
- Collaborate with the medical provider to provide personalized care plans for each patient
- Conduct patient assessments, including review of medical history, lab results, and glucose monitoring
- Educate patients on nutrition, exercise, and medication management related to diabetes during pregnancy
- Offer ongoing, compassionate support to patients and their families throughout pregnancy
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to clinical protocols
- American Diabetes Association recognized Diabetes Education Program (First in state of Nevada for MFM)
- Advanced accredited leaders in ultrasound to screen patients for fetal anatomic changes
- Preterm birth and preeclampsia prevention protocols
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field
- BC-ADM (Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management) and CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) certified
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and a drive to excel in a clinical environment
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills with a commitment to providing quality care to every patient
