The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients with physical, developmental, or emotional impairments. The COTA assists in implementing treatment plans designed to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities and achieve maximum functional independence.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a COTA in the state of practice.
