We are looking for a Channel Forecasting & Pricing Partner to join us in our Commercial Contracts & Pricing team based out of Atlanta, GA (hybrid)
About the role
This position will be focused on development and maintenance of bottom-up payer channel forecasting models, providing gross to net forecasts to optimize pricing strategy, and generating insights into pricing and contracting scenarios, health care reform, and market trends for Market Access, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Finance and Forecasting. This position is a leadership role with accountability across critical Pricing Analytics & Forecasting Processes.
What you'll do
- Lead Pricing Analytics for US Patient Value Unit portfolio
- Forecast Gross-to-Net (G2N) Accrual Inputs for Chargebacks, Rebates, Medicaid, Medicare etc.
- Forecast the impact of Managed Care formulary and contract changes on G2N
- Conduct long term G2N Forecasting by channel based on projected pricing evolution and provide Cash Forecasting for Brand/Accounting/Finance
- Establish relationships with key business stakeholders to understand business trends and concerns and develop creative solutions, leveraging data and analytics to meet their needs
- Be a steward and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the G2N process for the Market Access & Pricing (MAP) group
- Create and support analysis for the interpretation and reporting of rebate, discount and utilization records
- Utilize customer rebate and chargeback data (commercial & government) to forecast pricing metrics (AMP, ASP, Best Price)
- Incorporate additional data sources (IMS NSP, IMS NPA, IMS Plantrak, EDI, Trade, Ex-Factory data) to develop leading indicators for the business to incorporate into decision making.
- Utilize customer and syndicated data to drive analytics and forecasting within G2N model
- Leverage data mining and analytical techniques to analyze contract data and align with other available data sources
- Support the Contract Analytics & performance team with tools to help them provide pre-deal analytics and post-deal reporting of contract status, performance, and terms to appropriate business partners
- Work collaboratively with Business Analytics & Insights team to align on demand forecasts, copay program changes and other relevant factors that directly impact channel forecasting
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, Decision Science or similar
- 3+ of pharmaceutical experience in Gross to Net forecasting or Analytics, Managed Care Analytics, Decision Science or Market Research. Equivalent related consulting experience or pharmaceutical analytics background with strong analytical and problem-solving skills will also be considered.
- 5+ Years of demonstrated success in advanced analytics, modeling and reporting
- 3+ Years in database management and advanced excel functionality
Preferred:
- Master's degree (MA/MS/MBA) preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical data sources and business metrics, including EDI, chargebacks, rebates, X-factory sales, third party data sources (pricing compendia, IMS data, claims data)
- Proven in-depth skill in decision science and modeling as well as proficient use of all Microsoft Office Products
- Experience with forecasting tools such as Python, SAS or Anaplan
- Ability to utilize multiple business intelligence platforms (e.g., Cognos, Qlikview, Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI etc.)
- Ability to interpret commercial/government contract language and industry standards for inclusion in models
