Job Description

Chemical Mix Tech II

The Chemical Mix Tech II is primarily responsible for producing parts that meet cosmetic requirements and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate Bead Blast Operations.
  • Operate centrifugal finishing equipment.
  • Operate Vibratory finishing equipment.
  • Operate buffing equipment.
  • Plug and mask parts per print for all mechanical and chemical finishing operations.
  • Operate chemical finishing operations such as Type II passivation, clear coat anodize, hard coat anodize, etc.
  • Sustains and maintains 5S standards and all continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform Equipment PM’s
  • Ability to produce parts with Zero defects
  • Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions and procedures
  • Ability to work at established production rates.
  • Ability to rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes and perform tasks in a cell/team environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, specifically in finishing and/or coating processes.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficiency in reading instructions, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Skilled in operating various types of production equipment and using gauges and other measurement tools.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred

  • Willingness to work with materials and chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
  • Commitment to follow all metals finishing and plating procedures.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in metals finishing/plating.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely without causing injury or damage.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes.
