Job Description Summary

The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) for GE HealthCare's Advanced Visualization Solutions (AVS) business is a critical role responsible for shaping and executing AVS's digital transformation strategy. The CDO will lead a global team of digital engineers, driving the development and deployment of scalable, AI-powered, cloud-first software solutions that enhance clinical impact, accelerate growth and strengthen AVS's competitive position. This leader will partner closely with the Chief Technology Officer and business leaders to ensure digital platforms, software, data, and AI initiatives are integrated across the business, supporting both product innovation and operational excellence.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AVS's digital & AI strategy in alignment with business priorities and market trends. Lead the transformation of AVS's product portfolio towards cloud-based, interoperable, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Drive Digital Transformation: plan and execute our digital product offerings, drive consistency for our cloud-based offerings and build enterprise-wide roadmap in close partnership with other teams across GEHC.
  • Own the digital and software platforms roadmap, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security across all offerings. Drive recurring revenue models and digital subscription strategies. Scale our current Digital applications portfolio and workflow solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Horizontal Enablement Inspire, develop, and manage a diverse global team of ~300 digital engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Ensure organizational design supports agility, speed, and efficiency in digital delivery. Enable success for horizontal teams, building the foundation for success with our franchise offerings.
  • Lead AVS's AI strategy, including model development, deployment, and governance.
  • Partner with clinical and technology teams to deliver AI solutions that drive clinical and operational impact. Ensure visibility, governance & cybersecurity of digital and AI projects across all clinical segments.
  • Build and maintain strategic alliances with external partners, thought leaders, and research institutions. Represent AVS in digital forums, industry events, and with key customers.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and other leaders to avoid duplication and silos, especially in AI and platforming.
  • Manage the digital engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and talent. Oversee capital investments in digital infrastructure and platforms.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record in senior digital leadership roles within large, technology-driven organizations in a global, regulated industry, ideally with strong healthcare domain.
  • Experience leading global software engineering teams and delivering cloud-based, AI-powered solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align digital strategies with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation, recurring revenue models, and subscription-based offerings.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance in healthcare or other regulated industries.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $256,000.00-$384,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
