SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

JOB TITLE: Civil Worker II/III/IV

REQUISITION: NUC00E2

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance Support

LOCATION: Wolf Creek- Edward McCabe

PAY:

Civil Worker IV - $40.77/hr

POSITION SUMMARY:

Civil Support Worker will be responsible to perform the following task: power block cleaning, eyewash PM's, vault/manhole pumping, furniture moving, tool room, groundskeeping mowing, weed eating, spraying, snow removal, concrete/fence repair, carpenter, insulator, painter, scaffold building. Additionally, they will assist the heavy mechanics, Electrical workers, HVAC workers, and Plumbers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be part of a pooled resource that works off a schedule that assigns job duties (power block cleaning, eyewash PM's, vault/manhole pumping, furniture moving, tool room, groundskeeping mowing, weed eating, spraying, snow removal, concrete/fence repair, carpenter, insulator, painter, scaffold builder) (assist the heavy mechanics, electrical workers, HVAC workers, plumber/welders). The Civil Workers are expected to perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Responsible to work in and around the Plant safely while performing assigned duties. Go to training and receive, and maintain qualifications needed to perform job duties. Perform job duties using procedures, work orders, and work tickets.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Civil Worker IV position requires proficiency in 8 of the tasks listed in the primary responsibilities
  • Scaffold Building- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of six months scaffold building experience.
  • Insulation- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of six months insulation experience.
  • Painting- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of six months painting experience.
  • Power block Cleaning- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of three months janitorial experience.
  • Eye wash PMs- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of three months experience performing Nuclear/Industrial eye wash PMs.
  • Vault/Manhole Pumping- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of three months experience performing Nuclear/Industrial Vault/Manhole pumping.
  • Furniture Moving- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of three months experience moving furniture and cubicle assembly/disassembly.
  • Tool Room- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of three months experience in an Industrial/Nuclear Tool Room and must possess the following qualifications: Weld Rod, Torquing Tester, Control and Separation of Tools used on Stainless Steel
  • Groundskeeping- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of three months groundskeeping experience
  • Concrete/Fence Repair- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of three months experience performing concrete/fence repair.
  • Carpentry- Proficiency is determined by a candidate having a minimum of six months carpentry experience.
  • Related education may be considered for/or in lieu of relevant experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Successful completion of the ABC Fundamentals Pre-Test is required

VISION:

This position requires the ability to pass vision requirements associated with Company physical.

NOISE:

This position requires the ability to work in loud environments.
