Class A Company Truck Drivers in Chicago
POSITION DETAILS:
- Experience Requirement: 6 months
- Pay / Salary: Local Chicago mileage drivers start at $0.62 per mile plus $20 load pay per load.
- Average Earnings per Week: $1,200
- Weekly Mileage: 1,800
- Hub City / Hiring City Chicago, IL
- Hiring Area Zip Code 60608
- Hiring Area Radius Must live within 25 miles of zip code 60608
- Home Time: Daily
- Shift: Night
- Weekend Work: Yes
- Holiday Work Expectations: If scheduled day
- Pertinent Lane Information: Runs Chicago, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Indiana.
- Favorable Lane Information: Home daily, drop and hook heavy, no touch freight.
- Night shift starts at 7:00 PM until 4:00 AM next day (Mon–Fri).
- Weekend starts Saturday 12:00 AM until Monday 4:00 AM.
- Load must be routed 3 loaded miles for Stop Pay or “Spiff Pay.”
- Unfavorable Lane Information: Chicago traffic and out-of-state runs (still home daily).
Additional Pay Differentials
- Night differential $0.06 CPM
- Night Differential: $0.06 CPM (Mon–Fri, 7 PM–4 AM)
- Weekend differential $0.12 CPM
- $0.12 CPM (Fri 7 PM–Mon 4 AM)
- Additional case-by-case pay provided for qualifying situations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 21 Years of Age
- Must have a minimum of 6 months Solo OTR experience
- Must be able to pass a hair test
- Clean criminal background
