Position: Class A CDL Liquid Tanker Regional Driver Location: St. Louis, MO Hiring Area: 35-70 mile radius of St. Louis, MO Freight Type: Liquid Tanker Route Details:- Lanes: Regional, primarily Midwest- Average Miles: 2,200-2,500/week- Schedule: 7-10 or 10-14 days out- Home Time: 34 hour reset when at home- Description: General chemical liquid tanker regional freight Freight: General chemical. Hazmat, liquid in bulk Equipment: Manual and Autos 2019 and newer. Mack, Volvos and Internationals- Truck Speed: Cruise 68 MPH, Pedal 65 MPH- All tough freight- 0% drop and hook, 0% no touch- 75% Hazmat loads Parking: Ops approved location Average Pay: $1,200-$1,800 per week Specific Requirements: Tanker required, Hazmat required, TWIC required, Valid Passport (preferred), Minimum of 6 months of previous Liquid experience or 24 months of recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience Orientation & Training: - Online Orientation & Drug Screening: 2.5-3 hours (31/32 online tasks including CDL/Medical Card/SS card upload, BTC policies review, Recurrent HM Training Videos) - Online Orientation Completion Pay: $200 (on 1st check Friday/week following hire) - Onsite Training: 5 days at Jacksonville FL (dry bulk) or Fenton MO (liquid) - $120/day- 1.5-2 days classroom- Standard driver road test- Introduction to pneumatic or liquid tank equipment- Road Training:- Dry Bulk: 5-7 days at home terminal - $120/day- Liquid (with 6+ months liquid experience): 1 week - $120/day Week 1, $200/day Week 2- Liquid (no previous liquid experience): 2 weeks - $120/day Week 1, $200/day Week 2- Lodging: Single occupancy at Rte 66 or Drury Inn (Fenton MO) or Microtel (Jacksonville FL)- Meals: Breakfast and Lunch provided during onsite training- Travel: Plane or car rental reimbursed Pay & Benefits:- Pay Type: Practical miles- Pay Frequency: Weekly every Friday via Direct Deposit- Annual Pay Increase: Yes- Detention Pay: $5.00 per hour after 2 hours- Per Diem: Optional 0.14/mile (weekly miles)- Referral Bonus: $1,500 ($750 at hire, $750 at 90 days) - Benefits: BCBS health insurance starts 1st of month following 60 days from hire, VSP Vision- Vacation: 1 week after 1 year (calculated on 52 week average) Equipment & Operations:- Truck Speed: Cruise 68 MPH, Pedal 65 MPH- Permanently Assigned: Most are permanent seat, some slip-seat- Take Truck Home: Case by case, if allowed must be secured pre-approved location by OPS- Inverters/APU: No APU, inverters depend on fleet- ELD: Yes- Peoplenet- Prepass/EZ Pass: Yes- Fuel Card: WEX - 24 Hour Dispatch: Yes- Routing/Fuel Stop Flexibility: Yes- Idle Air Policy: No max Freight Details:- Drop and Hook: 0%- No Touch: 0%- All tough freight- Hazmat Loads: 75% Requirements:- Minimum Age: 21- Drug Testing: Urine & Hair- Medical Card: Required at time of application (will accept current physical if not expiring within 3 months) - Endorsements: Tankers required at time of app, Hazmat required if needed per job description, TWIC required at time of app- Passport: Must have or be passport eligible and willing to obtain- No more than 3 moving violations in past 3 years- No more than 6 jobs in past 3 years- No DOT recordable accidents within last year- No major moving violations within past 6 months (Careless/Reckless, 15+ Over, Hand held texting/calling, Following too close, Failure to stop at RR crossing, Driving CMV without CDL)- No more than 2 DUIs in lifetime, 1st must be over 5 years old- No felonies in past 7 years, no lifetime violent/sexual offenses- No current probation or parole- No pets or passengers
