Brown & Brown's Risk Solutions team is seeking a results-oriented Client Accounting Operations Leader to oversee and optimize high-volume accounting processes. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment and is passionate about building efficient, scalable operations that support business growth.
We're looking for someone who brings a shared services mindset, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to lead teams through change-not someone focused on traditional financial reporting or controllership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead core transactional accounting functions, including:
Accounts Payable
Surplus Lines Tax Filing
Billing
Accounts Receivable
Manage assigned month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Drive continuous improvement in accounting workflows, systems, and controls.
Ensure operational excellence through effective internal controls and process consistency.
Collaborate with leadership to deliver insights on key operational metrics.
Support accounting systems maintenance and reporting needs.
Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA designation preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on transactional operations and process leadership.
- Experience in a shared services or high-volume environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and operational accounting best practices
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in electronic accounting systems and innovative technologies to improve efficiency (Bots/AI, other).
- Power BI development experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive process improvements.

Pay Range
110000 - 140000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
