Essential Functions:- Program and operate CMMs (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) to inspect complex metal parts and assemblies.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop accurate measurement routines.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
- Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for CMM equipment.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and customer-specific quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in CMM programming and operation within a metal fabrication or precision machining environment.
- Proficiency in CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes such as welding, forming, and CNC machining.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
