Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Set up and operate precision CNC High-Speed Milling machines, in accordance with approved and safe work procedures.Plans and schedules work, sets up equipment and tools, using a variety of devices, machine attachments and fixtures.Machines precision steel parts and electrodes out of copper and graphite.Ensures conformance to specifications utilizing CMM, height gauges, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices to adjust tools, to produce drawing specified dimensions and ensure overall quality.Evaluates and maintains results and quality to ensure parts are in specified dimensions and tolerances.Maintain surface finish requirements.Completes work orders, associated documents and labor as required.Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements to minimize downtime, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs.Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Contribute to continuous improvement of the operation processes.Perform first piece inspections FAI to verify accuracy before full production runs.Record part counts, runtimes, and process data accurately specifically in production documentation or ERP System.
Skills:
Must be able to work both independently and on a team.Must demonstrate strong organizational skills with close attention to detail, consistently following established quality and safety standards.Must be knowledgeable in reading and interpreting blueprints and CAD drawings.Skilled in conducting inspections and utilizing precision measuring devices to maintain product quality.Knowledge of proper health and safety measures.Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Qualifications:
5+ Years' Experience in High-Speed MillingExperience with High-Speed Milling machines a PlusMust be detail oriented and organizedKnowledge of the metric system (preferred).Must be able to lift/push/pull to 50lbs.Be willing to work to ISO / QS 9000 standards and have a commitment to continuous improvement
Education Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma or GEDJourneyman Certification a Plus or Educational Equivalent
