Commercial CDL Driver Grapple Truck Debris Collection Specialist
Position Summary
The Commercial CDL Driver at Tri-State Tree Service handles specialized material removal equipment supporting our arboriculture crews. This active role merges vehicle operation with intensive physical labor, utilizing grapple trucks for tree material collection. You'll function autonomously with exceptional work standards. This is NOT a standard "driving only" role - anticipate vigorous physical tasks including climbing, hauling, and manual site restoration.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
  • Handle grapple trucks for collecting and loading tree materials from project sites
  • Operate skid steer and dump truck configurations when access is restricted
  • Execute daily vehicle evaluations and maintain equipment in optimal condition
  • Maneuver through confined residential locations for effective cleanup operations
  • Material Removal
  • Scale ladder systems to control grapple mechanisms from elevated positions
  • Deploy blowers and rakes for detailed removal of branches and materials
  • Manually process brush and debris requiring hand-loading techniques
  • Execute comprehensive site restoration meeting quality benchmarks
  • Site Coordination
  • Trail arboriculture crews to gather materials and restore project locations
  • Engage professionally with clients and process payments when necessary
  • Guarantee complete restoration before departing each site
  • Maintain organized, professional presentation of work zones
  • Safety & Maintenance
  • Comply with DOT requirements and organizational safety standards
  • Execute routine equipment servicing and communicate mechanical concerns
  • Maintain awareness of overhead dangers and utility infrastructure
  • Requirements
    Essential Qualifications
  • CDL Class A license with exemplary driving history
  • Capability to satisfy DOT physical and medical standards
  • Superior physical conditioning for challenging outdoor labor in all weather
  • Mechanical understanding for equipment handling and maintenance
  • Outstanding spatial perception for operating large equipment in restricted areas

  • Self-directed with exceptional work standards and independent operation capability
  • Physical ability to scale ladders, transport heavy materials, and work extended shifts
  • Strong communication abilities for coordinating with teams and clients
  • Focus on detail for thorough site restoration

    Compensation
    Daily Rate: $200-$250 based on qualifications
    Schedule: Monday-Friday, periodic weekends

    Employment Type: Full-time autonomous work throughout Pensacola region
