Position Overview
As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of commercial HVAC systems. This role is ideal for a technician who is confident working independently, values professionalism, and enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical system issues.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems
Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system failures
Service and repair equipment including: chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers (AHUs), rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, and mini-splits
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
Use diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and manifold gauges
Provide accurate system diagnostics and repair/replacement estimates
Perform welding as needed for equipment and piping repairs
Operate and maintain a company vehicle and travel to job sites
Required Qualifications
3+ years of commercial HVAC experience
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical HVAC systems
Experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, RTUs, and split systems
Proficient in reading and understanding schematics and blueprints
Ability to safely use electrical diagnostic tools
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
EPA Universal Certification (preferred)
