Here is how the Commodities Trading Intern role will impact our business:
As a Commodities Trading Intern, you will join a team at the forefront of the energy market - one that analyzes trends, manages risk, and executes trades that drive real value. We combine market intelligence, data analytics, and strategic decision-making to optimize value across our natural gas portfolio.
This individual will be involved in several projects throughout the internship specifically related to functions in the Commodities business including analyzing supply, demand, storage, and transportation fundamentals.
The Commodities Trading Intern will have the unique opportunity to work with multiple groups within the Commodities team to provide support in analyzing, developing, and improving processes to create value.
The Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide support for the Commodities department on a broad range of topics including:
Market fundamentals and trading strategies.
Scheduling, logistics, and portfolio optimization.
Data analytics and visualization tools (Excel, Spotfire, Power BI).
Interact with multiple levels of the organization to communicate insights and enhance processes.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management or a related discipline.
- Must have at least completed sophomore year at accredited 4-year degree program.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
- Analytical and quantitative skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to grasp business concepts quickly and translate into technical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organization.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee.
