Community Office Host — Workspace Exchange

• It is not a volunteer or employment position.
• It’s a workspace exchange arrangement — you’ll receive free use of a private office in return for light weekday on-site coverage at our dog daycare and grooming facility.

About the Exchange

What you get: Free use of a private 14′x9′ office (closing door), Wi-Fi, shared kitchen/lunchroom, bathroom with shower, parking, and access to a 39′x28′ multi-purpose room outside coverage hours. Approx. value of office: list yours here.

What we need: Reliable, calm presence at our dog daycare & grooming facility to greet occasional visitors, radio staff when needed, and close your door during small-dog hallway transitions (“Running of the Bulls”). You’ll have 85–90% quiet time for your own work.

Schedule: Pick 3–5 weekdays between 9:00 AM–4:00 PM (consistent week to week).

Key responsibilities

• Greet grooming clients; escort to grooming lounge.
• Use two-way radio (no phones in dog-care areas).
• Close office door during dog transitions.
• Give 1–2 short tours/week from a provided script.
• No dog handling (no feeding, walking, or play).

Terms of the exchange

• Barter only: Office use in exchange for on-site coverage. No wages/benefits. No employment relationship.
• You are responsible for your own work/business/taxes.
• 30-day trial, then month-to-month; either side may end with 14 days’ notice (immediate termination for safety violations).

Ideal Person

• Friendly, calm, and dependable.
• Enjoys being around dogs without needing hands-on interaction.
• Communicates clearly and can respond promptly to radio calls.
• Looking for a long-term partnership (ideally one year or more).
