Job Description
Support mission-critical systems for the United States Space Force as a Computer Maintenance Support Specialist, Journeyman at Schriever, SFB. This role ensures uninterrupted operations of complex IT, audio/visual, and communication infrastructure supporting distributed mission operations at multiple classification levels.
Pay: $95,000 - $110,000
Essential Duties
AV & Computer Systems Maintenance
- Install and calibrate audio/visual systems including VTCs, TVs, video walls, and
switching/control systems.
- Destruction of End-of-Life equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors on large scale projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues in computers, AV, and
network systems.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and equipment continuity
documentation. Support shipping, packaging, and tracking of AV, computer, and
networking hardware.
Video Teleconferencing Install/Maintenance
- Installment and configure video teleconference equipment, such as: Codec,
Large Display screen along with its cabling, video switch, KVM, Fox Box, Extron
display control, Extron video splitters.
Network & Infrastructure Support
- Maintain and upgrade LANs and standalone systems across unclassified to
TS/SCI levels.
- Provide engineering and maintenance for routers, switches, servers, and other
critical IT infrastructure.
- Review Communication System Requirement Documents (CSRDs) and
recommend technical solutions.
System Sustainment & Documentation
- Support Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) architecture and communications
backbone.
- Track maintenance agreements and warranties; coordinate warranty repairs.
- Load, configure, and troubleshoot applications and operating systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing hardware,
software, and network issues.
- Demonstrated expertise supporting centralized AV systems and communications
infrastructure.
- Proficiency in analyzing, configuring, and maintaining classified and unclassified
IT environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting military or government communications systems.
- Familiarity with large-format plotters, video walls, and secure VTC systems.
- Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity and network compliance protocols.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or
related field is preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience
may be combined for total years of experience.
