Computer Numerical Control Operator

Duties and responsibilities

• Plasma Operator must be properly instructed and demonstrate instructions through practical operation.
• Plasma Operator shall be familiar with rigging and practices.
• Plasma Operator shall be familiar with the usage of torch to cut leftovers of steel.
• Plasma Operator shall have knowledge of drawings and dimensions.
• Plasma Operator shall have knowledge of computer systems.
• Plasma Operator must be organized and have good communication skills.

Critical Demands

• Balance and strength to climb and walk onto uneven surfaces.
• Repetitive forward bending, rotation of the trunk, and flexing of the hips and the knees.
• Lifting no greater than 50 lbs. from floor to 6 ft. work surface unassisted.
• Repetitive upper extremity movements while operating equipment.
• Sustained lifting 25-35 lbs. at arm’s reach above head.
• Willing to learn and practice safety at work at all times.

Working Conditions

• Work is indoors. There is no air conditioning or heating. 
• Uneven surfaces throughout the job site, with sand, limestone, concrete, and railways outside, as well as concrete and railways inside. Numerous trip hazards throughout.
