Description
We're seeking a detail-oriented Construction Inspector to support transportation construction projects. In this role, you'll assist with field inspections, verify elevations and alignments, review test data, and help prepare reports and project documentation. You'll work both outdoors on job sites and in the office, ensuring projects meet LA DOTD standards - and we will train you!
What You'll Do
- Inspect construction activities for compliance with DOTD requirements
- Verify elevations, alignments, and field measurements
- Prepare reports, estimates, and documentation
- Review test data and assist with sampling plans
- Support Independent Assurance reporting and quality control
What You'll Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings/maps (preferred)
- LA DOTD certifications (preferred) - or willingness to obtain with our training
- Construction inspection experience preferred, but we will train motivated candidates

- Ability to travel frequently and on short notice.
- Ability to walk long distances.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain, sometimes for extended periods of time.

- Ability to travel with some overnight travel
