Job Description
Iconica is seeking a Construction Project Management Intern to join our team in Summer 2026!At Iconica, we take a collaborative approach to design and construction, bringing architecture, engineering, and construction together under one roof. As a full-service firm, we focus on building strong relationships, thoughtful solutions, and successful outcomes—for our clients and our team.As a Construction Project Management Intern, you’ll work alongside our Project Managers to gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of managing projects. Throughout your internship, you’ll:
- Attend project coordination meetings with internal teams and clients.
- Assist in communicating project needs and interpreting construction documents.
- Support project quality through reporting, shop drawing reviews, punch list tracking, and warranty follow-ups.
- Participate in subcontractor pre-award meetings, review scopes of work, help with owner payment requests, manage financial reporting, and coordinate RFIs between field and design teams.
- Maintain project schedules to ensure client commitments are met.
- Conduct site visits to monitor subcontractor progress and complete safety audits.
- Engage in budget discussions, assist with monthly updates, and collaborate with the preconstruction team on scope estimates.
- Build relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program.
- Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).
- Leadership experience in student organizations or extracurriculars.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High initiative and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
