Project Manager - Pavement Preservation
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing pavement preservation and asphalt paving projects from conception through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure efficient sequencing of pavement preservation activities, including surface preparation, chip seal, slurry seal, micro surfacing, and overlays.
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting to maintain profitability and financial control.
- Coordinate with field operations, including site grading, surface preparation, material procurement, and paving operations.
- Oversee project organization, scheduling, and implementation, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control requirements.
- Participate in the conceptual development of projects, assisting with estimating, constructability reviews, and value engineering opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and agencies to ensure clear communication, prompt issue resolution, and strong working relationships.
- Lead and support field supervision teams to ensure work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including submittals, schedules, change orders, and progress reports.
