Job Description Summary

Construct, repair and renovate property and/or facilities owned and/or operated by Southeast Health in a cost efficient manner, to ensure that our patients are provided with quality care and a safe and comfortable environment, following Southeast Health's policies and procedures with adherence to building codes in effect.

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prefer high school graduate or equivalent;
• Related technical school and/or at least three (3) or five (5) years experience in maintenance or construction;
• Ability to read blueprints;
• Good eyesight;
• Dexterity for operating various drills, power saws, and other electrical equipment;
• Valid drivers license.

LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing;
• Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation.

SKILLS:

• Basic computer skills;
• Ability to utilize the Internet, Extranet, and E-mail;
• Ability to utilize the radio and pager system;
• Able to perform basic skills such as constructing walls, floors, ceilings and roofs of various types;
• Ability to learn and apply fire proofing systems to walls, ceilings, and floor penetrations as required.
