The Contracts Compliance Manager will review and validate moderate to complex contract data and attached contract documents in the system for accuracy and completeness, to ensure optimal tracking of term expiry dates, security assessment evaluations, purchase obligations, regulatory compliance documentation to include Supplier Inclusion, GDPR, ISO, and other tracking fields. Responsible for ongoing contract management activities for moderate to complex contracts, including monitoring term expiry, vendor security re-assessment, and other date tracking fields. Manage relationships and facilitate communications between suppliers and internal customers as needed to ensure contracts and related ordering documents are renewed, negotiated, or terminated pursuant to contract terms. Ensure date tracking for ongoing regulatory compliance is monitored and communicated out as necessary. Ability to interpret less complex contracts for verification of license use grant, termination language, effects of termination, and notifications.
What You'll Do
Manage and provide leadership on renewal sourcing initiatives and supplier evaluations for internal business teams or as needed for the organization for more complex renewals. Review and analyze vendor quotes/bids to include negotiating out imposed increases (contractual or not). Using experience and judgement, provide final recommendation to business team and in some cases, may be responsible for final decision on award of business. Decision maker on how and who we procure renewal from. May participate in networking, conferences, and tradeshows to proactively seek out, research and evaluate potential sources of supply/service providers. Independently review and negotiate business terms and pricing for renewal order forms and related documents with suppliers. Ensure existing master terms are not affected or modified.
Develop and manage internal business team customer relationships with business meetings to review support/maintenance performance and forecast future renewal business needs. This may include business team management.
Review product roadmap and recommend if/how procurement utilizes new functionality. Contribute to vision and strategy for application use within the department and to meet compliance and reporting needs, assessing new organizational requirements that may impact system use and / or require new functionality. Partner with IT or system support teams on delivery of system updates, including communicating objectives, documenting requirements, performing testing, and coordinating development of training materials. Provide feedback and recommendations to management on process, policy and procedures.
What You'll Need
- BS/BA in business or related field preferred
- Negotiation and contracting courses required
- 5+ years of purchasing and sourcing experience, including contract review, negotiation, and management
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- CPSM, CPP or related certifications preferred
The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
$80,000.00 - $117,000.00
