Description

Founded in 1949, family-owned FW Logistics provides nationwide warehousing services, transportation services, and leased commercial warehousing to both large and middle market companies. Warehouse services consist of dry, hazmat and temperature-controlled warehousing. Trucking services are delivered through its internally owned fleet for both local and over the road transportation. Leased commercial warehousing works with third-party operating companies to meet their real estate space and operating needs. With 29 locations and over 7 million square feet of warehouse facilities nationwide, we are the right size to meet any needs.

The Controller - Real Estate, will be responsible for the timely and accurate financial reporting of the real estate companies on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for all real estate entities. This position will interact regularly with the Accounting Department, CFO, tenants, lenders and FW ownership. Successful candidate will have the flexibility and time management skills to handle changing priorities while managing concurrent projects and deadlines.

Pay: $125,000 + Benefits

Hours: M-F 8:00am to 05:00pm

Location: 325 West Main St., Belleville, IL. 62220

Principal Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statement package for all companies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for rent, utilities, insurance, taxes and CAM fees.
  • Manage cash flow through timely receipt of tenant accounts receivable.
  • Report quarterly consolidated financial statements to ownership.
  • Prepare reporting package for lenders and escrow servicers.
  • Work with an outside CPA firm for quarterly tax estimates and completion of annual tax returns.
  • Supervise daily operations of the Accounting Department.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting team.
  • Respond to internal and external client requests in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA a plus.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience, real estate accounting experience considered a plus.
  • Experience working in a multi-company environment with varying ownership structures.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience working with multiple, separate companies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Able to communicate with staff and ownership.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, experience with Real Page or Yardi, a plus.
