Job Description
CarterWill Search is seeking a Corporate Associate to join an AmLaw firm's Investment Funds Practice in Chicago, New York, or Washington, D.C. This is an exciting opportunity to advise premier global fund sponsors on the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds across a variety of asset classes.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in private equity fund formation and related operational and regulatory matters. The role involves working closely with sponsors to structure and launch funds, manage fundraising processes, and advise on fund operations, compliance, and sponsor internal arrangements.
Associates in this practice gain exposure to a wide range of fund strategies and client types while collaborating with a team known for its technical sophistication and business acumen.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in private equity fund formation and related transactions
Strong understanding of fund structures, operations, and regulatory frameworks
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Excellent academic credentials and analytical ability
Proven drafting, communication, and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
