Corporate Compliance and Product Stewardship Manager

Arclin USA is seeking talent for a CorporateCompliance and Product Stewardship Manager. Reporting into the Sr. Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (CCRA), the Compliance & Product StewardshipManager will be responsible for ensuring global compliance of Arclin’s products from development through manufacture and transportation to our customers, while balancing business risks and needs with business unit leads and stakeholders for assigned business unit.The candidate will have expert Product Compliance experience, able to support program audits and develop associated management systems.This position has no direct reports and must lead through influencing others.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Unit Contact

• Partner with assigned business unit leaders, internal and stakeholders to understand markets, prioritization and business needs to ensure customer delight and product compliance
• Manage customer inquiries associated to product stewardship manners in accordance with timelines and established processes
• Interact with customers and track samples sent to customers on items that require compliance or stewardship oversi
• Attend customer meetings or visit customers where critical issues related to compliance and stewardship will be discussed

SDS Authoring & Management

• Prepare, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels in accordance with global GHS and Transportation standards (e.g., OSHA HazCom, REACH/CLP, WHMIS, etc.) for assigned business unit
• Maintain SDS databases and ensure version control and timely updates for new and existing products.
• Lead and/or aid with onboarding of new facilities with product compliance obligations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Technical Sales, EHS, Operations and Quality to gather product composition and hazard data.
• Ensure accurate classification of substances and mixtures based on regulatory criteria.
• Track and develop systems for chemical inventories for regulatory reporting (SARA, TRI, EPA, DEA, DOT, CWC, TSCA, among others) as needed

Regulatory Compliance

• Provide regulatory support for new product introductions and market expansions
• Monitor and interpret international chemical regulations (e.g., EU REACH, TSCA, DSL, K-REACH, China MEP, etc.) and provide feedback to team to ensure company compliance
• Support product registrations, notifications, and compliance submissions.
• Knowledgeable in Transportation/Trade Regulation

Product Stewardship & Communication

• Support sustainability and product stewardship initiatives (e.g., restricted substances, environmental reporting, chemical inventories).
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve product compliance processes and data quality.
• Maintain documentation to support audits and customer regulatory inquiries.
• Aid in responding to customer regulatory requests related to product compliance or other regulatory matters

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 7 +  years of experience in product stewardship and regulatory affairs within the chemical, coatings, or manufacturing industry.
• 3+ years of experience in authoring global SDS
• Expert of global GHS implementation and chemical hazard classification.
• Experience with product regulatory data systems (e.g., IUCLID, SCIP, ChemSHERPA).
• Experienced in using SDS authoring software
• Working knowledge of major chemical regulations (REACH, TSCA, WHMIS, CLP, etc.).
