The CU Division of Social Science is seeking a graduate assistant to serve as a teaching assistant and research assistant to faculty in the Division, especially faculty in the Department of Criminal Justice. The candidate should have coursework and/or experience in social science research methods and must be a full-time student in good standing in a CU graduate program. Students in the MS Criminal Justice program will be given preference.
The successful candidate will assist faculty in the Division in their teaching and research endeavors. As needed, the candidate will:
- Assist faculty in setting up, tearing down, and managing classroom activities
- Proctor exams
- Assist faculty in instructing and managing remote and hybrid classes
- Tutor undergraduate students
- Assist in the criminal justice honor society as a graduate mentor
- Assist faculty in collecting and managing data
- Contribute to the management of research projects being conducted by faculty
- Serve as a student supervisor on field trips and other engaged learning activities
Must be a full-time graduate student in good standing at CU. Preference will be given to MSCJ students.
Bachelor's degree with a major or minor in a social science required.
Coursework and/or experience in social science research.
