Job Description
Responsibilities:
- empties, sanitizes, and relines trash receptacles
- sweeps and mops floors
- cleans and sanitizes bathroom and bathroom fixtures and refills disposable items
- vacuums rooms with carpeting
- strips, scrubs, seals and buffs tile floors
- cleans carpets

- Works independently to complete assigned tasks.
- Practices workplace safety; follows directions for properly using cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Maintains building security by ensuring areas are secured and locked as cleaning assignments are complete.
- Provides a high level of service to the campus community.
- Up to six months of similar or related experience. Two years responsible experience in a similar custodial job preferred.
- Normal courtesy in dealing with others required.
- Must be able to operate cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Must have basic computer skills to include the ability to use computer for online training.
- Moderate physical exertion is required including walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, stretching, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
