JOB OVERVIEW:
The Custodian will work as part of a team to carry out cleaning tasks to ensure standards aremaintainedthroughout the site.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Custodianis responsible forthe following:
Safelyoperatescardboard baler
Operatesriding floor scrubber daily throughout the facility
Follows cleaning routine and schedule as set by supervisor including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window washing, mirrors, etc.
Works as part of a team to carry out cleaning tasks to ensure standards aremaintained.
Report any repairs needed during cleaning duties are reported to supervisorin a timely manner.
Ensures cleaning tasks assigned by supervisor are carried out ina timelyfashion.
Identifiesappropriate cleaningmaterials and products to sanitize areas and disinfect according to company standards.
Organizes cleaning items, disinfectants and other materials kept in storage, as well as cleaning equipment.
Maintainsaccuratelogs and records of areas that have been cleaned andschedule ofregular cleaning.
Usesproper signage toindicatewet flooring or other potentially hazardous situations.
Regularlyemptiestrash and recycling.
Replenishes supplies in washrooms, such as hand soap, papertowelsand toilet paper.
Must be able to lift mop bucket

1yearofpreviousexperience
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Must have a High School diploma or equivalency
Must be able to lift to50 lbs.
Musthave a positive attitude.
Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposureohazardous chemicals.
Must have reliable transportation to drive to other locations within Momence, IL.
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must have ability to read/write/speakEnglish
EDUCATION:
Must have a High School diploma or equivalentyears of experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Ability to bend, kneel, climb,walkand stand for varying times throughout the day
Must be able to stand and walk forlongperiodsof time.
Ability to use hands and arms to feel and reach below waist level and above shoulder level.
Will regularlyandroutinely lift or handleboxes/bags/equipment up to 50 lbs.
Regularly pushing or pulling sizeable equipment from a standing position.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Use of personal protective equipment including respirators, hearing protection, eye protection, and head protection.
The ideal candidate must be able to complete allthe physicalrequirements of the job with or withoutreasonableaccommodation.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work in ambient conditionsthroughout the yearin a warehouse environment.
