Custodian for Schools (NE) (2026-2027)-ST. Mary's Catholic School, Hagerstown MD

The Custodian will work with the Custodian team to ensure the school is clean and ready for students and staff at all times.

Essential Functions

• Knowledgeable regarding sanitizing rooms, including bathrooms.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Follow directions and be able to maintain a cleaning schedule that will change depending on the day of the week.
• Perform a variety of custodial maintenance duties including but not limited to dusting, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming floors, snow removal and ice treatment, replenishing restroom supplies.
• Perform a variety of custodial sanitizing duties including but not limited to cleaning, disinfecting floors, walls, windows, sinks, counters, toilets, kitchens, water fountains, woodwork, furniture, air intake screens, louvers, fixtures and appliances.

Position Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Must be able to read and follow directions of supervisor.
• Ability to climb stairs while carrying equipment and/or supplies.
• Must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in difficult weather conditions, including heat and cold, snow and rain, etc.

Pay Rate:  $20.01, Hourly
