SUPERVISORY WORK:
None
SUMMARY
Under supervision, this position keeps assigned buildings orderly, prepares rooms for meetings, keeps floors clean, replaces burned out light bulbs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Sweeps, scrubs, strips and waxes floors.
Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.
Restocks cleaning supplies.
Empties and cleans waste receptacles, washes windows and walls.
Assists in moving and arranging furniture and equipment.
Replaces all burned out light bulbs and reports any hazards found.
Vacuums carpets and intake structure for HVAC.
Cleans sinks, commodes, lavatory, kitchen, lunchroom, etc.
Puts deicer on sidewalks and stairs in the winter time.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of one year of janitorial experience. Valid Texas Driver's License required.
