We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Rockaway, NJ team. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service by processing purchase orders, preparing quotes, and providing product and order-related support. This role requires a strong understanding of company products, accurate data entry, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and timely fulfillment.

What You'll Do

    • Maintain a strong understanding of the company's product lines and quality documentation.
    • Accurately process customer purchase orders and maintain related records.
    • Prepare and issue price quotes for customers in a timely manner.
    • Provide responsive and professional support to customers regarding pricing, orders, shipments, returns, and product inquiries.
    • Coordinate effectively with sales, production, and shipping teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
    • Process customer returns and credit applications in accordance with company procedures.
    • Handle customer complaints with professionalism and work toward positive resolution.
    • Provide feedback to management regarding recurring service issues or customer concerns.
    • Reconcile freight invoices accurately.
    • Enter and maintain customer and order information in the ERP system.
    • Organize and prioritize daily workload to meet deadlines.
    • Support general office and administrative functions as assigned.
    • Collaborate with team members while maintaining flexibility to handle varied tasks as needed.

What You Bring

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Previous experience in customer service, data entry, or inside sales preferred.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Strong data entry accuracy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with ERP systems (IQMS experience is an asset).
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Teams.
    • Positive, professional attitude with commitment to company values and exceptional service delivery.
