Job Description
This position will follow a Monday through Friday schedule.
The Customs Brokerage Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that customs brokerage activities comply with U.S. Customs regulations and trade laws. This position merges auditing, data analysis, and systems expertise to identify potential risks, address discrepancies, and uphold precise entry filings. Additionally, the analyst contributes to enhancing processes and strengthening internal controls within customs brokerage operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform audits of customs entries and brokerage activities to ensure adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and trade laws.
- Examine import data to identify trends, risks, and discrepancies, aiming to reduce compliance exposure.
- Utilize knowledge of systems (ACE, ABI, and related platforms) to confirm filings, address errors, and enhance workflows.
- Create and sustain compliance reporting tools and dashboards to assist in management oversight.
- Offer suggestions for process enhancements, system upgrades, and strategies for risk mitigation.
- Work in collaboration with operations, IT, and compliance teams to ensure smooth integration of compliance controls.
- Assist with internal audits, inquiries, and regulatory assessments.
- Stay informed about changes in trade regulations and advise the team on necessary adjustments to internal procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management to highlight compliance status, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and innovative solutions from team members.
