Job Description
Education BSW from an accredited social work program or equivalent education/experience Experience Previous social work experience in a medical setting Certification & Licensures BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)- American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP)- AHA approved required Additional Certification/Licensure Requirements Minimum of "Exceeds Standards" for most recent performance appraisal. Meets standards in all areas. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation. Qualifications Skills in clinical assessment, basic medical terminology, group process/dynamics and case management. Ability to interact as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the ages of the patient served (see Job Description Addendum- Age Specific Competencies). Basic computer and keyboarding skills or proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
